Green Tea
Green tea is made from the un-oxidized leaves of the Camelia sinensis (tea) plant. Oxidation is a chemical reaction that starts as soon as the leaves are plucked, so in order to stop the oxidation process, the leaves are pan-fried or steamed. Because it is minimally processed, green tea contains a lot of antioxidants. Historically, it was widely used in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine and recently, scientists are discovering the positive effects of green tea on the human body.
